Compass Rose was raised on the beats of reggae, dub, African chants, trip hopping vocals, opera, and Indian breaks; she grew up dancing to the world. Long fascinated with the physical sensations and kinesthetic impulses sound can produce, she now finds herself behind the decks, delighted to share with you her long time passion for the dance floor. Allowing you to choose the route, Compass Rose simply guides you in your dancing journey. Her sets materialize as deep bodied dub, playful glitch, tribal beats, psychedelic trances, trip-hop-hip-hop vocal magic, and funkalicious grooves.

Miss Bliss has been living and breathing music since birth. A selektor for the past ten years, and in service to the arts and culture, her mandate is flow, rhythm and BASS. Bridging diverse cultures and communities through music, dance and multidisciplinary arts, MBM has been a whirlwind force behind the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, the New Forms Festival, and Commercial Drive Festival. Now calling Victoria home, she is pleased to be a part of the weekly Sublime Fridays at the Base Lounge.

Fresh on the scene, DJ Monkey Tree has been stoked to be bopping heads with much of the local wildlife over the last few years. Here to share some deep grooves for your body and soul, while keeping the dance light with play and heavy with bass, Monkey Tree weaves together instrumental electronica, ragga love, funky funk and dubby dub for your dancing and listening pleasure.
