Tambura Rasa is a buoyant cultural cross-pollination that fuses contemporary grooves and tradi- tional rhythms into one energetic musical brand all their own! Packed with fiery Spanish guitar, fully orchestrated Baladi Gypsy string section, burning Afro-Latin percussion and sensual Flamenco and Belly dancers, this 8-piece act raises the roof and lights-up skies of any concert grounds they land on. The spirited dance melodies leap out at you as singer Ivan Tucakov, unleashes lyrics in half a dozen languages. He’s assembled an ethnically and musically diverse signature group that has attracted a growing following, from those who like to dance to music lovers who like to take in the intricacies of the song compositions. Tambura Rasa blends genres and cultures from every continent on three powerful albums starting with the release of “Sunrise on a New World” in 2004. In 2006, the band followed that CD up with ‘Viaje’ (Journey) and then with the latest project in 2008, ‘Kamanala’ (Sanskrit for Fire of Love). The famous lounge compilation ‘Café del Mar’ (vol XIII and XVI) released Electronic mixes of two of their songs (Cinnabar and Gypsy Love from the 2009 ‘Tambura Rasa Beats’ collection) and hit world music charts and air-waves all around the planet. Global in its reach, Tambura Rasa has become BC’s favorite caravan of vivacious globalistas, filling everything from intimate soft-seat theatre shows, large dance filled festivals to hip urban clubs in attempt to bring dance, joy and vigor to the world around them.

His live solo acoustic performances showcase an inspiring & energizing “wall of sound’ funky style of percussive guitar playing combined with the soothing vocal stylings - À la Jack Johnson and the late ‘Nick Drake’. TV talk show personality & longtime CBC Radio host - Vicky Gabereau became an instant fan after catching Max play live. He was invited to play on her TV show the following week -which aired internationally. “My jaw dropped!“ exclaimed Gabereau. Max composed the opening theme song and scored music throughout the first season of the ‘Word Travels’ TV Series (http://wordtravels.tv) Twelve tracks from his debut album “13” were also featured throughout the season. “I Know” is featured in the film “Bloodsuckers” as well as in the Sci-Fi TV Series -Pain Killer Jane “ The Amazing Howie” Episode.

This summer Rowan’s dusk set at Lasqueti Escape galvanized some amazing energy on the dancefloor before Ganga Giri took the stage. Also making his debut at the Soundwave festival this summer, Rowan’s talent and love for music will continue to bring him in front of amazing, inspired and intentional dancefloors again and again.

Born in Paris, France to a Jewish Italian/Egyptian/Corsican mother and a Gypsy father from the south of France, Paloma Vita credits her ancient DNA for her passion for metaphysics and the healing arts. Intuitive from an early age, she remembers having her first full-on mystical experience at the age of six while visiting Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy with her family. From as far as she can remember, she has always cared about others’ well-being, human and otherwise. At the age of sixteen, a pivotal relationship entered her life who introduced her to Tantra, Astrology, and Tarot; she added other healing modalities along the way as she healed her own difficult childhood. She learned to do Past Life and Childhood regressions, Shamanic work, Reiki and Sound Healing because they helped transform her life and she became passionate about helping others heal as well. She still says she has been leading a pretty regular life learning to be a human on Planet Earth… Paloma will be offering small Tarot readings, which are often a platform for her intuitive nature to transmit information she channels from her guides and her Higher Self.
