Direct from Britain, Random Dance is one of the hottest dance companies in the world. Non-stop, driving dance set to music by Coldplay’s John Hopkins. This is the gritty, dynamic, hard-edged dance that combines street with physical endurance. Powerful and persuasive, audiences will be awed by the talent of these ten international dancers.
McGregor is one of the most talked about choreographers in the world right now. He is the resident choreographer for the Royal Ballet (the first resident in history to set contemporary work on the dancers) and was awarded a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) this past year.
One of the most compelling aspects of the show is the music, which is an electronic soundscape created by Coldplay collaborator, Jon Hopkins. The piece has a distinct Coldplay-like sound that gives weight and meaning to the dancer’s movements. Hopkins produced work for Viva la Vida (co-production, co-writing and keyboard for Violet Hill and Life in Technicolor). He has also been mentioned as a collaborator for the upcoming Mylo Xyloto album set to be released next week.
